Marvel Movies with Audio Description on Disney+

Avengers: Assemble!  Sorry, you know I had to get that out of the way. The Disney+ streaming service has been a huge gift to Marvel fans who now have an easy way to catch up on the Marvel Cinematic Universe before the launch of Phase 4 in 2020, or those who want to take a deep dive into some of the X-Men or Spider-Woman cartoons of the 70s, 80s, and 90s.  But if you’re here, you’re probably wondering about which Marvel movies have audio description on Disney+?  Good news: the answer is “most of them”!

Of the 17 Marvel movies currently on Disney+, 15 have audio description and there are another 3 being added within the next year.  It’s also worth noting that Disney has confirmed all of the original content they are creating for the platform will have audio description! That means in addition to the currently streaming docuseries Marvel Hero Project, upcoming series like Loki, WandaVision, and Ms. Marvel will all have descriptive audio.

Below I’ve put together lists with all of the Marvel movies on Disney+ with audio description, as well as the MCU films that are coming soon, and those that are already on Disney+ but unfortunately do not have an audio description track (yet).

And if you’re looking for the all of the movies that include audio description on Disney+. I have that available for you too! Check out my complete list of Disney+ Titles with Audio Description!

Which Marvel Movies are Missing Audio Description?

Someone get Nick Fury on the phone! Unfortunately, there are two movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+ that do not have audio description available: Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 and Avengers: End Game.  It’s understandable that most of the old Marvel series don’t have audio description since many of them were developed before it was a common addition.  But it’s especially frustrating for the MCU films that have audio description available on other services or with the physical copy.   Hopefully it is just an oversight that will be corrected soon, and I’ll update this page if they are added.

What Are You Going to Watch Next?

So, which movie are you going to be turning on first?  Are you going to start off at the beginning with Iron Man, or jump right in with one of your favorites? Personally, I went for a back-to-back showing of the two MCU films with the best soundtracks: Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel!

And let me know in the comments or on Twitter (@GertieTheDino) what other categories of movies/series on Disney+ with audio description that you’d like to see!
